Emereck is a minstrel, and Flindaren is one of the younger sons of the Duke of Minathlan – the perfect combination to find the legendary Harp of Imach Thyssel – one of the greatest treasures of Lyra. It’s also dangerous – everyone that has ever used its power before, has paid a price.
Not sure what else to do with it, the young men bring it to Minathlan, where intrigue will threaten their friendship. There are also great powers abroad in the land now that the harp has moved from its home in Castle Windsong, and they will stop at nothing until they can gain the harp.
This isn’t a bad book, though I can’t say it’s my favorite of this particular series. It is rather short, but it’s also an older book, and it’s funny to remember how much smaller books used to be, even twenty years ago. Nothing like the tomes that usually get published now. It’s no wonder they combined all five Lyra novels into one Kindle collection.
