Knitting Notes

Pattern: Ruffle Ribbed Baby Socks from Ann Budd's Better than Booties Baby Socks
Yarn: Trekking Hand Art in the Karabik colorway (blue) and Mountain Colors Barefoot in the Crazy Woman colorway (red mix)
Needles: Size 1 DPNs (blue) and 1.5 DPNs (red mix)

The final part of my niece/nephew to be project is done: baby socks! What cracks me up is the difference in size that a fingering vs. sport weight, and half a millimeter difference in needle size will make - I knit these both with the exact same stitch count.

I love these socks because they're great stashbusters - I chose two left over amounts of yarn that still had a decent bit of yardage left, so I didn't use either ball up, but I now have a much better idea of what weight of yarn I'll need to make a pair of these socks, so will hopefully be able to use the pattern smaller bits of leftovers in the future.
