Booking Through Thursday

Yesterday's question was: I’ve always wondered what other people do when they come across a word/phrase that they’ve never heard before. I mean, do they jot it down on paper so they can look it up later, or do they stop reading to look it up on the dictionary/google it or do they just continue reading and forget about the word?

I went through a phase around middle school where I kept a running list of words to look up. I almost never looked them up on the spot unless something was so unclear I needed to know to be able to understand what was actually going on.

I've pretty much continued this, though minus the running list. I've learned enough about the language to be able to puzzle most things out through either context or word roots. The dictionary only comes out when I need a meaning in order to follow a story.

I'm lazy, I just skip over. I can usually figure out the meaning from the context.
